HOURS OF OPENING
The Administration Building Office Hours are:-
Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Except Thursday which is 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The council offices are closed outside these hours but provides an afterhours service.
AFTER HOURS SERVICE
The Ashburton District Council provides a 24 hour service for all urgent calls. Outside office opening hours calls will be answered and messages relayed to the appropriate service. The number to ring is the normal council number 307 7700. This includes noise, animal and water complaints.
The council offices are closed on all Statutory Holidays and the three days between Christmas and New Year.
TO ADVISE COUNCIL OF PROBLEMS
Phone the council customer services team on 307 7700 or send an email to info@adc.govt.nz advising what the problem is, for example:

Information which has previously been treated as confidential or handled by the District Council or its predecessors "in committee" can only be released by the Chief Executive following a written application and subject to it not being contrary to the public interest to release such information.
There may be a charge for providing official information when photocopies are required or extensive research involved. Council will, however, contact the person seeking information before any charges are incurred.
