  Social Wellbeing Strategy
The Ashburton District Social Wellbeing Strategy was launched in December 2008 and identifies six key areas of community wellbeing for focus over the next five years including Housing, New Residents, Children and Young People, Health, Community Social Services and Older People. It identifies the key social issues facing the Ashburton District and the actions that Council, government agencies and local service providers can implement to improve social wellbeing in Ashburton.

The Social Wellbeing Strategy can be downloaded here.

  Social Agencies Survey
Ashburton District Council and the Ashburton Council of Social Services (ASHCOSS) conduct a quarterly survey of local social service agencies in order to monitor demand for service and in particular, our sector's ability to respond to changes in demand. This is particularly important at the moment, as changes in the economic climate are likely to be having an impact on the District.

The latest survey report, "Taking the Pulse: A Survey of Social Services in Ashburton" can be downloaded here.

Past editions of "Taking the Pulse" (listed below) are available by contacting Jenna Scott on 307 7700 or jenna.scott@adc.govt.nz
