Mayfield Plan
Mayfield: Our community, our future

The Mayfield Plan provides the Mayfield community, Ashburton District Council and other key stakeholders with a structure and focus for the future of Mayfield. It sets out what the residents of Mayfield want the village to be and the ways the local community can work together to achieve those things.
The Plan was developed by the Mayfield community itself, with a guiding hand from an independent facilitator, and supported by Ashburton District Council staff.
Two community meetings were held and the first draft of the Plan was put together based on the discussion at those workshops.
The draft Plan was subject to a seven week consultation period where the public could provide their feedback. Based on feedback received, the final changes were made and the Plan was adopted by Council on 28 February 2013.
The Plan will be officially launched at the Mayfield Show on 9 March 2013.
