Community surveys are just one way that the Ashburton District Council encourages community input and feedback.

Annual Residents Survey

The Annual Residents Survey asks a selection of Ashburton District residents their opinions on a wide ranging list of services and issues pertaining to the Council, and the services it delivers to the residents of the district.

The information provided by the survey results help Council determine work programme and budget priorities in the future.

A representative cross-section of residents is selected and interviewed by the National Research Bureau, an independent research company offering specialised services to local authorities throughout New Zealand.

The results are now available for the Annual Residents Survey 2011/12!

Annual Sport Club Survey

An annual survey of sport and recreation clubs and organisations in the District.

Completed in alternate "rounds" targeting winter and summer sporting codes, the survey aims to better understand sport and recreation, from the perspective of clubs and organisations.

Latest News

The Annual Club Survey report for 2012 has just been made available and a copy of the full report can be found here. Key findings have been distributed to sport and recreation clubs throughout the district.

Thank you to all the clubs and organisations that took the time to complete the survey, your input helps to have up to date information and improves the understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the sector.

Results from the 2011 survey have been collated with this years survey to provide a snapshot of our clubs and organisations. It was found that as a whole the district is fortunate to have a strong and capable sport and recreation sector.
